droplets

Taking photographs of water droplets was a challenging technical exercise, with many hours of failed attempts, blurred or empty images, and spillages. Working in a dark studio, with very short flash exposures, timed by an infra-red sensor, I managed to capture some streams or droplets of water in motion. Encouraged by an occasional spectacular result, I persevered and produced a series that I find are sometimes full of movement, a moment frozen in time, and at others seem placid and reassuringly peaceful.
